Bathtub Bubbles

Yesterday we made our weekly trip to the library. We have been trying this new "skill" every week where Gracie has to think of something that she wants to read about, then she has to go to the librarian and ask her if she knows where to find a book about it (then the librarian waits so patiently as Allie tries to repeat everything Gracie just said). It has really helped us get over to the non-fiction section because most everything she asks about can be found in a non-fiction book (except mermaids and fairies..........and Disney Princesses:) This week she wanted a book about bubbles. Coincidentally, we had just watched a magic show in the library that had bubbles in it, so they were fresh in her mind. (that's a whole other post, try explaining simple magic to a 3.5 year old......) Anyway, she asked the librarian for a book about bubbles, and after some searching we found the ONLY book that our library has about bubbles! I loved that the librarian was just as excited as Gracie was about finding the book, those ladies are PRICELESS!!

The book had a whole section about making bubbles in the bathtub, so we had some messy fun tonight!

Hmmmmmm.......I think she may have sucked the straw instead of blowing bubbles, HA!
