A Week of Apples

We ventured into solid foods this week starting with apples. She loved them, of course. Can you imagine eating the same thing for a whole week? Ugh.....

Maybe she liked them so much because I had a helper...

I forgot about the bib

Mad cause we are all out of apples :)

Gracie eating her "big girl apples"

BTW I am LOVING the baby food maker!!! It's so easy and fun! Next is green beans :)

"Alright mom, they're gonna get married"

That was Gracie's favorite quote throughout the entire wedding last night.... "Okay mom, time for B-B and Jeremy to get married." So cute.  Somehow I didn't get a picture of the happy couple together. Breann was a BEAUTIFUL bride!!

On the move

"Hey mom, you see that playhouse right there, I want to play in it"
(I'm sure that is what she was thinking)

She started here after I changed her diaper....

I made it, and I'm sooooo happy!!

Hot Pink Diva

Gracie got her new hot pink cast on today. Chuck took her and he said that she did really well and only cried a little when they had to do an x-ray on her arm.

"Mom, take a picture of my arm"..... she is such a ham!

After I signed it, Chuck asked Gracie if he could sign it and she said "how about Dora and Boots sign it?", so he signed Dora and Boots for her.

Relaxing after a long day...

Gracie goes back in a week to do more x-rays and make sure all is healing well. Dr. said so far everything is looking good.

"Sew" much fun

Ok, I know that title is a little corny, but I have a new obsession and it really is sooooo much fun!

It started with this....

The tools, in this cute little "notions" box. Yes, I know what notions are, I have had to learn a whole new vocabulary.

The pattern. I heard that a pillowcase dress was a very easy project, so I started with that. When I tried to read the directions for the pattern, I had no idea what anything meant, so I pretty much just "winged" it.

Here is Gracie trying it on before I sewed it together. I can remember feeling this same way when my mom and grandma would make me try on stuff when I was little, now I know how they felt.

*No child was hurt in the making of this dress :)

The finished project. I think it turned out pretty cute for my first one. I am pretty sure it will completely fall apart the first time I try to wash it.

Look at this picture, how did I get that cute little smile??? Jellybeans, of course.... I am not beneath bribing :)

Looks like it might be a bit too big.

I really enjoyed making this dress. Sewing is very therapeutic, it makes me take my mind off of everything else and focus on something creative for a little while. Can't wait for the next project.....any ideas??
