We took the girls this weekend to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. We made the mistake of going on the first Saturday of spring break, so after about 3 hours it go so crowded that we ended up calling it a day and heading home. The girls didn't know they were missing anything and still had a great time!
Riding the light rail
The petting zoo
Allie was fearless, but Gracie, of course, wanted nothing to do with the animals.
**Chuck: our daughters never-ending fear of animals is not helping your "we need to get a puppy" argument.....just sayin'
They had the "Fun on the Farm" again this year. The kids go through and pretend to be farmers by gathering eggs, planting and harvesting crops, milking the cow, and collecting wool from a sheep. Then they go to the Farmers Market and turn in their items for a dollar, then they get to buy something from the store with their money. It is by far the cutest and most educational thing I have ever seen, coming from a former teacher:)
Hayden rode in this thing called the EuroBobble. It's like a plastic bubble that floats on the water, pretty cool!
Pig Races
Sorry daddy, they're not giving those things away:(
Hope you get to visit the HLSR this year!
**BTW-Chuck was very sad because on the day that we went his man-crush Gary Allen was the performer and we, of course, couldn't go with both girls. Darn kids, maybe next time honey:)
