The Beach... and other random stuff

We made our first visit to the beach (with the kids) this past weekend while we were in Brazoria. We had some family in from Louisiana and they were camping at the campground by the beach, so we went out to visit with them and took the girls down to the beach.

It wasn't Destin (or Jamaica or Cabo), but it is only about an hour and a half drive, so it will do for now....

It was a very short trip, but just enough for the girls. One day we will take them to a "real" beach!

Me and Gracie made some cookies on Thursday after gymnastics......

She does NOT like to get her hands dirty, I don't know if she'll be able to hang with me in the kitchen....

Allie has started crawling pretty well, I hope to get a video up soon if I can figure out how to do it.

I know summertime is all about sunshine, but I really enjoy it when it is cloudy outside. We went out yesterday and the girls swang (is that even a word??) for a long time. It wasn't too hot, the wind was blowing, it was a very nice break from the heat!!

Finally, Finally, Finally!!!

Our long awaited day finally arrived yesterday!!!

Chuck took the day off so that he could take her since he has been the one to go to all of her other appointments... so when they got home we had a fun family afternoon in our backyard!

Allie wanted no part in the water. I tried to get her to sit in the pool with me, but she wasn't liking it at all. I put some water in he bottom of her exersaucer to keep her feet cool and she was good with that :)

EXHAUSTED!!

and yes, she is holding her new Dora panties....

We are trying to get her interested in potty training, but no luck so far, she didn't want to put them on, but I guess holding them is a start??? I am entering uncharted territory with potty training, so any advice or suggesstions would be greatly appreciated!!

WOW... look how smart my 2 year old is :)

I am soooo ready to get this cast off so we can get in the water and beat this summer heat!!! Crossing our fingers that Monday is the day!!
