Lots of "Elefun"!

One of our goals this year is to have more "family fun time" together (that doesn't consist of us sitting on the couch eating popcorn and watching T.V.). Now that the girls are old enough to actually play and understand games, we changed our routine a bit and we now have "game time" instead of T.V. time right before bed, and it has become their favorite time of the day! Their favorite so far is Elefun. Allie just likes to watch the butterflies shoot out, and at first Gracie just liked to hit them with a paddle, but she finally caught on to catching them in the net after we played it about 3 nights in a row:)

We have also played Animal Scramble, Fun Bowling, and Hungry Hippos. We also got the Kinect for the X-box for Christmas and there are some really fun and easy games that the kids can play!

Any fun family games you could share, would love some ideas!

I couldn't think of a title for this random post, so I went with Post #193.......so original, I know:) We haven't had much of anything exciting going on around here, and we are finally over the three weeks of sickness we had, so just trying to get our house back in order and geared up for a new year!

This past weekend SHSU played in the national championship against NDSU in Frisco, so Chuck and I drove up on Friday and went to the game on Saturday and drove home Sunday. It was great to have some time alone, even if we did watch/ talk about football the whole time, even the 4 hour drive was nice without the kids!!:) (oh....we did manage to catch a movie on Saturday night after the game, not a total football weekend:) Thanks Nana and PawPaw for watching the girls for us!

Chuck was off for almost TWO whole weeks for Christmas/ New Years, so he has been working on tiling our house, it looks SOOOO good and I am so proud of him! After this weekend he should be finished with the bathroom, laundry room, and hallway. I will post some "after" pictures when he's finished!

Other than that, we have just been hanging out and getting back into our routine. We haven't started back up with school yet, mainly because I haven't had time to plan, but I have everything all ready for next week, so hopefully we will get back into the swing of it! I have pulled out some of the things we got for Christmas so we have been playing with those.....

I got Gracie this My First Picture Maker from Lakeshore. It is AWESOME and she loves it! The magnetic board is also a dry-erase board so you can draw/write stuff on it and cover the lines with the magnetic tiles.

We also got a popcorn popper for Christmas, the girls think its hilarious every time:)

Thanks for stopping by!
