Bible Story: The Ressurection/ The Easter Story
Bible Verse:
"He is not here, He is risen, just as He said."
Matthew 28:6
We spent about 2-3 weeks doing all of the different activities I had planned for Easter, plus different activities for the other skills we were working on. We also re-arranged things a little and added a "school-time notebook" to our activities, which has been great!! I found a lot of printables from 1+1+1=1, and a made a few myself for specific skills I wanted. We go through the notebook each day and it covers all of the basic skills! Each page of the notebook corresponds with something on the school wall, so while I am pointing it out on the wall, the girls can find it in their notebook.
The day of the month
(I made this one in Word)
The days of the week
(I made this in Word)
The days have Velcro on the back and we can move them around, this is my favorite! We use this a lot with the Days of the Week song by Dr. Jean!
The number and sight word of the week
(made in Word)
We do a different activity each day with these.
Sticker Pattern
(made in Word)
Since I have the girls trace the number for our big calendar (you will see a picture below), I wanted to some how to do a continuous pattern that we add to everyday, this works!
Color and shape of the week
(found at 1+1+1=1)
The Weather/ Season
(found at 1+1+1=1)
Months of the year
(made this in Word)
We will find and trace the month that we are in on the first day of the month. We have been singing Macarena Months by Dr. Jean with this page!
(I have all of the Dr. Jean CD's from my teaching days, but you can now download the songs online from her site, she is WONDERFUL!!)
Letter of the week tracing page
(found at 1+1+1=1)
These are not Gracie's favorite, but they are great to practice fine-motor skills, so she usually just does one row a day:)
Here are a few pictures of our new set-up. I have come to a realization that if we are going to do homeschooling, then our home will look like a school, no hiding it:) I actually LOVE it now, and I feel like its so much easier to relate what we are learning to real life situations, because we don't have to pull stuff out when a teachable moment comes up
(and they are coming up so much more often now)!

I posted most of our pictures from the last few weeks in my post about Easter, but here are a few more:)
I told you that you might see some crafting/schooling stuff on this blog, thanks for making it through!!
