Fun on the Frio!

It feels like we have been going non-stop for about 3 weeks now, but having SO much fun!! We made the drive to the Frio this past week for the Fourth of July and the girls had a BLAST!!

We sat outside and watched all the neighbors shoot fireworks and Allie covered her ears the whole time, but she didn't want to go inside:)

Feeding the deer, this is still Gracie's favorite part of Leakey:)

These girls spent about 5-6 hours a day in the water, they definitely slept GOOD at night!

Ready for the Leakey Annual 4th of July Jubilee!

On the way home......we got about 10 minutes down the road and they were out!

Already planning our next trip back!!



A few days away...

Chuck and I were lucky enough to get away for a few days last week, minus the kiddos!! We went to Austin and had a great time!!

Road trip must haves!!

(even better that I didn't have to share with the girls!)

 The first night we stayed downtown so that we could try and see the bats that fly out from under the S. Congress bridge, but they didn't show:(( We also visited the capitol while we were there.

Apparently some of the best places in Austin to eat come from a truck.....

For the last two nights we stayed at Barton Creek and did a whole lot of NOTHING!!!

(except a lot of this).....

 On our way home we took a detour to San Marcos and did some shopping and ate on the river.

 We even saw a rainbow:)

It was so nice to get away for a couple of days and have no responsibilities, thank you Nana and PawPaw!!

Adventure Week VBS 2012

We had Adventure Week VBS this past week at church, and it was a BLAST! The theme was "Wonderfully Made, Amazing Me" and the kids got to learn about how God made each one of them super special and amazing! They had bible stories, game time, crafts, snacks, bouncy houses, tumble time, kids church, and water day, and the older kiddos (Gracie's age) got to go into "BIG" church to see Dennis Lee and his awesome puppet show! They were soooo busy, and by the end of the week they were WORE-OUT (but they still didn't want it to be over)!! I am so thankful that I was able to spend this week with them and be a part of it!!

Oh, and I can't forget about April's handmade maternity shirt....this should go on Pinterest...for real:)

Serendipity Part #1

My sweet friend Crystal is starting up her own photography business and she did a photo shoot for us a few weeks ago. I guess you can say I have not always been a big fan of "family picture day". (you would think I would love it with all the pictures I take:) Last time we did it, it was beyond stressful, but this time it was SO fun! Crystal was really laid back and just let the girls be girls and followed their lead to take the pictures! We got so many great ones, I wish I could post them all because they are all AMAZING!
